The best free marketing competitions

Does anyone know of any good marketing competitions? We are always entering awards but I was wondering if there were any events where you don't have to pay for the privilege?!!

TechCrunch 'Europas'?
Hi Karen,
I don't know what your company does, but if it's anything tech-related, take a look at TechCrunch's new 'Europa' awards - seems as though entry is free, and then £60 to attend the awards ceremony. You just have to register your company on their CrunchBase database (clever TechCrunch, getting fresh data out of the award entrants).
The thing with awards is that the better ones will have decent judging processes behind the scenes, which often soak up a lot of administration time (I'm speaking from first-hand experience here of running Sift Media's Software Satisfaction Awards!). This is one reason why awards usually carry a nominal entry fee, another is that it does generally encourage entrants to be serious about the awards process.
