Every now and then a campaign comes along that is so iconic that it inspires agencies and businesses to use it as a platform for campaigns of their own.
The series of Mac vs PC ads by Apple is the most recent example of this. Microsoft hit straight back at Apple with its "I'm a PC" campaign. While Novell also reacted swiftly to capitalise on the success of Apple's campaign by lampooning the original ad to highlight that Linux should also be part of the equation.
Even organised religion has got in on the act.
And so to the most recent addition - one particularly pertinent to the MyCustomer.com audience - where NetSuite uses Apple's ad to bash SAP about its Cloud (in)activity.
SAP is rapidly becoming a firm favourite with this blog. You may recall how my SAP was rising recently after this sizzling - and almost certainly unintentionally hilarious - ad from the software firm. The only problem for SAP is that we're laughing at them, not with them.
