I was contacted by a friend over the weekend. His name is Darren and he is the head of customer experience for a very well known brand. Well truth be told I was drifting through Twitterville and something he said caught my eye.
His broadband has been offline for seven days now and, long story short, he's not making much progress. In fact his sorry tale is shot through with disengagement resulting in poor service.
So - I did what any friend would do under the circumstances, I wrote a song about his story. Interestingly, the company which Darren is being troubled by spotted the song and has now been in touch with me, and with him and are looking into the problem.
Will they fix it? Let's hope so. Are songs a good route to better service? Who knows, but this one seemed to help - just a little. If you choose to have a listen, I hope you like it.

Stop Doing Dumb Things to Customers
Haha, great stuff. Sometimes you have to go that extra mile to be heard, BT are renowned for poor customer service so maybee more poeple taking this approach will convince them to change their ways! Or maybee one day we will see flying pigs :-)
knowing
this is good
Thanks for the feedback
Hi - appreciate you getting in touch. It worked quite well this video song lark. It helped get the broadband service working and it encouraged BT to give better service. The folks at BT Care were very encouraging, and took this experiment in the spirit it was intended. Well done to them! The BT CEO less so. He was offended. I've already stated what my intentions were, and causing offence was not one of them so I've taken it down now.
Who knows when the next musical inspiration will strike!
Cheers - Doug
