IBM has licensed PeopleSoft's Enterprise Services Procurement to manage its relationships with suppliers that provide information technology services personnel.
PeopleSoft Enterprise Services Procurement's multi-currency and multi-language capabilities is being rolled out to provide IBM with a single, integrated platform for a 360-degree view of information technology and business services spending.
The company says it uses PeopleSoft's purchasing and contractor management processes to reduce its requisition and onboarding cycles, reduce spending, increase service agreement compliance and promote supplier performance and service quality. IBM will begin to deploy the solution in the US in 2004.
"The PeopleSoft solution will be added to our existing technology platform to help make our procurement of services more customer focused and efficient," said Henry Pruitt, director of e-procurement and technology, IBM.
