Craig Conway was fired as CEO of PeopleSoft for deliberately lying to shareholders and market analysts that Oracle’s $7.7 billion hostile takeover bid was not chasing away customers.

Conway was fired last week after PeopleSoft directors decided he had intentionally misled investors according to board member Steven Goldby at the start of legal action brought by Oracle to knock out PeopleSoft’s ‘poison pill’ defence against its takeover bid.
