The UK Data Protection Act is still being ignored according to the latest study carried out by Marketing Improvement. The study was undertaken by phoning 50 of the FTSE 100 companies and asking to be put through to the person or persons responsible for handling personal data queries. This is the second year that the study has been run and shows little improvement from 2004.
Only 29% percent of the top UK corporations are abiding by its requirements – only a slight improvement on last years’ 24%.
