All things change, but few sectors of the IT industry have changed so radically in the past 12 months as the customer relationship management (CRM) sector. This time last year, we were awaiting the closure of the Oracle PeopleSoft battle royale; this year we’re watching and waiting to see what happens now that Oracle - in its new guise as predator and consumer of second-hand software firms - is set to gobble up arch-rival Siebel.
Much remains uncertain at the time of writing.
