UK businesses are missing out on valuable customer insights if blogs are not incorporated into their market research activity, according to SPSS.

The analytics firm reckons that there are 80,000 new weblogs launched every day. These can provide companies with information not only on current behaviour and opinion regarding their products and services, but also on future trends. As a result, blogs can be used to improve existing offerings and communication strategies, and also help drive future product development.

Typically, blogs focus on day-to-day customer experiences.
