Salesforce.com raises sales forecast for next year

On-demand business services provider Salesforce.com has raised its sales forecast for the coming fiscal year, citing revenue from new services.

The improved revenue forecast of $720 million (up from $710 million), for the year ending in January 2008, is the second increase in a month, and was attributed to increased revenues from new services that the company announced on the same day.

Salesforce operates a website through which it sells its own software and allows other companies to list their products that are compatible with its own through a program known as AppExchange.
