Swansea Council scraps CRM phase of Capgemini outsourcing deal

Swansea City Council has scrapped the second phase of its outsourcing contract with Capgemini to create a new call centre and web-based front office because it is too expensive.

The £83 million contract for stage one of the service@swansea initiative was only signed at the end of last year, even though it was initially agreed more than 12 months before that.
