SMEs find IT a burden but need CRM

Most SMEs don't have an IT strategy and find the whole sector a cost burden, according to research. But the resistance to change is now being seriously challenged by a growing need for good CRM and the advent of Cloud Computing.

Almost a third of UK SMEs find IT represents the greatest cost overhead for their business, ahead of facilities and HR – but this presents great opportunities for software as a service (SaaS) and Cloud Computing providers.
