Aspective has acquired the UK ASP Dataroam, which specialises in mobile workforce management solutions. The acquisition will add workforce management applications to its CRM and personal information management solutions.

The former CEO of Dataroam, Simon Gibbs, has been appointed VP of sales for Aspective mBusiness.

“The acquisition strengthens our mobile practice and allows us to compete immediately in the high-growth European mobile workforce management market,” said Ewald Weizenbauer, general manager of Aspective mBusiness.

Dataroam targets organisations with substantial mobile workforces, typically performing service roles, in industries such as telecommunications, utilities and technology. It developed solutions using iMedeon’s iM:Work, the web-based workforce management solution.

Aspective employs over 200 people across Europe. The company has strategic partnerships with BroadVision, Siebel Systems, Actuate, Business Objects, IBM, Exodus, and Sun Microsystems.
