ClearData signs $300m superhighway contract with Nortel

ClearData Communications has selected Nortel Networks as chief supplier and solutions integrator for a national U.S. broadband network that will be the next generation data superhighway.

ClearData has signed a $300 million, three-year contract to buy optical and data networking solutions, and internet data center infrastructure equipment. This powerful network will offer a full suite of internet access, data transport, hosting and application services.

Nortel Networks had 1999 U.S. GAAP revenues of $21.3 billion and serves carrier, service provider and enterprise customers globally.
