EDS and the world’s largest vehicle manufacturer, General Motors, have signed an IT services agreement to provide desktop management services to more than 80,000 users.

The agreement is expected to continuously update GM’s standard distributing computing technologies and enhance collaboration among employees globally. The initial services will begin in North America and may eventually expand to other locations.

GM process information officer Rick Sturgeon said: "The real significance of this agreement is our ability to foster collaboration globally while reducing the costs of executing our business processes."
