Financial Fusion and IBM have formed an alliance to provide a broad suite of eBusiness services and solutions for online retail banking and capital markets in North America.

The alliance covers joint marketing programs, cooperative funding, performance benchmarking, product integration and IBM solution center support of Financial Fusion solutions. It supports the November 2000 agreement in which IBM agreed to provide managed hosting to Financial Fusion clients.

They will offer banks complete solutions for online retail banking. These build and enhance online offerings without the need to develop or maintain additional applications for emerging online banking needs, such as multiple currency, multiple language and wireless support.

IBM Global Services is providing integration and consulting services for Financial Fusion products for institutional trading in capital markets. The products help banks and securities firms build scaleable, reliable and flexible systems for faster and more efficient handling of heavy transaction volumes.

Additionally, the two companies announced the completion of Project Indigo, the Financial Fusion idea to fully enable the firm’s applications on IBM servers, storage and software.

The alliance is an example of IBM’s commitment to go-to-market with leading independent software vendors through its PartnerWorld for Developers program. The goal is to provide developers with access to new customers and revenue opportunities through IBM’s marketing, sales and solutions resources. In return, developers commit to lead with IBM’s middleware, server platforms, and services.
