i2 Technologies is to shift half of its applications development work to India in a bid to cut costs. The company which was founded by India-born Sanjiy Sidhu, will invest $20 million in the country over the next two years and move 150 US workers there by the end of this month. Between 17% and 20% of i2's development work is already done by a 1,000-worker Indian unit. Cutting costs is a top priority at i2 which reported a $5.53 billion net loss in its July-September third quarter and revenue fell 39% year-on-year.
