iStarXchange, a B2B e-marketplace launched in February, and IBM have joined in a strategic relationship – and the first step will be IBM Global Services hosting iStarXchange from an IBM web hosting center.
iStarXchange links buyers and sellers of automotive replacement parts across the Internet. Because iStarXchange services are based on i2 Technologies’ intelligent e-business technology, the company says it will be able to roll out services beginning in the third quarter of 2000.
“The automotive replacement parts chain is certainly one of the world’s most complex,” said iStarXchange CEO E.J. O’Leary. “At $150 billion in the US alone, only the smartest technology partners will provide real value. That’s why we’ve chosen IBM.”
