Measuring CRM

I am doing my undergraduate thesis on the effectiveness of CRM. Any ideas about where I can find information about measuring the results of CRM? Also, what do most customers/businesses think about the future of this concept. It seems to be so overused, I'm starting to beleive people don't even know what it is anymore. Thanks!

Just as Mimi was last year, this year I am doing a Masters degree level thesis on the effectiveness of CRM and measuring CRM results. Is there any way of contacting Mimi or anyone else that might be able to offer advice/opinions on this and closely related subjects. I have been looking in the library as well of course....!
