NCR has made a deal with iATMglobal, vendor of turnkey software that enables e-commerce on ATMs through the net.
San Francisco-headquartered iATMglobal provides a software-based network that transforms ATMs into Internet ATMs, to deliver movie, event or travel ticketing, pre-paid phone service, Internet banking or purchases.
Shami Patel, president of iATMglobal, said that: “NCR and iATMglobal are making it easy for companies to migrate their e-commerce offerings to ATMs deployed by retailers, banks and ISOs.”
“iATMglobal enables companies to transform their web-based product presentation to the capabilities of current and future ATM technologies. The consumer now has a convenient and easy way to access Internet products and services,” explained Patel.
Pat Cronin, senior vice president of NCR’s Financial Solutions division said the iATMglobal solution fits tightly with the NCR strategy of enabling all ATMs with e-commerce capabilities.
“iATMglobal gives ATM owners an easy way of activating e-commerce transactions on ATMs,” said Cronin. “Imagine the tremendous opportunity for businesses to provide more services to the consumer and create new, profitable revenue streams without costly upgrades.”
iATMglobal provides end-to-end e-commerce solutions for retailers, financial institutions and non-bank deployers of ATMs. iATMglobal’s infrastructure allows the ATM owners, operators, and deployers to choose from a portfolio of e-commerce offerings. iATMglobal has offices in the United States and the United Kingdom.
