Off to a great start in 2000, NCR’s data warehousing revenues grew 73 per cent in Q1. They jumped to $195 million for the quarter compared to $113 million in the first quarter of 1999.
Commenting on the data warehousing business, NCR CEO Lars Nyberg said that growth was evident by all measures – orders, revenues, new customers, targeted industries and one-terabyte warehouses.
“We are getting invited to more deals than we have been in the past, and we are winning the vast majority of business when invited. The improving momentum validates our strategic thrust, change in business model, and technology leadership. Consequently, we are raising the full-year Data Warehousing revenue growth target from 20 per cent to around 25 per cent.”
