NCR Corporation has named Steve Millard vice president of strategic partnerships for the company’s data warehousing division, Teradata Solutions Group.

Millard joins NCR from Rochester, New Hampshire-based Cabletron Systems, where he was regional vice president for strategic partnerships. He will be based at NCR’s headquarters in Dayton, Ohio and will report to senior vice president Mark Hurd.

“The successful expansion of partnerships in key areas is critical to our growth plans for data warehousing,” said Hurd. “Steve brings a wealth of experience to our team, and I am extremely pleased with his decision to join us.”

Millard, who has worked with both IBM and Sun Microsystems, will lead a team responsible for developing and growing NCR’s strategic data warehouse partnerships around the world.

“The ability to attract, develop and grow world class partners is fundamental to the aggressive growth strategy in place for NCR,” Millard said. “I am excited about my role and look forward to contributing to the growth and success of NCR’s data warehouse business.”

Millard holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

NCR Corporation provides Relationship TechnologyÔ solutions for the retail, financial, communications, travel and transportation, and insurance markets. NCR’s Relationship Technology solutions include TeradataÒ warehouses, ATMs and store automation.
