No fear of flood, as Fiserv acquires NFS

Fiserv has just acquired National Flood Services (NFS), which provides flood policy services to insurance companies.

”With the addition of NFS, we meet another specialized need within the insurance industry,” said Howard Arner, president of Fiserv Insurance Solutions. “We are also gaining a team of professionals who will contribute to the success of our growing base of insurance clients.”

Located in Kalispell, Montana, NFS is a third-party administrator for companies in the National Flood Insurance Program, providing flood policy administration services. It employs 75 staff, and its clients include 20 property and casualty companies and 12,000 agencies nationwide.

”We are pleased with the opportunity to expand our service offerings as part of the Fiserv Insurance Solutions Group,” said Curtis Lund, president of NFS. “Together, we will be able to concentrate our resources on providing advanced technology that meets the growing needs of our clients.”

Fiserv has more than 2,300 clients nationwide, and serves 10,000 banks, broker-dealers, credit unions, financial planners/investment advisers, insurance companies, mortgage banks and savings institutions. The company’s headquarters are in Brookfield, Wisconsin.
