PeopleSoft is to acquire the intellectual property and assets of Annuncio Software. Annuncio's marketing automation solution for email and web customer interaction will be bundled into PeopleSoft's CRM solution. The dialog marketing capability in the Annuncio technology automatically coordinates personalised interactions with customers through email, web links, banner ads and direct mail. Personalised landing pages and surveys on web sites, as well as targeted follow up offers, can be used to drive customer loyalty and maximize each customer interaction.
The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions, including the approval of Annuncio's stockholders. Stockholders of Annuncio holding sufficient shares to approve the acquisition have agreed to vote in favor of the acquisition. The acquisition is scheduled to close during the first quarter of 2002.
