The ICR Group and GB Information Services have joined forces to create Postcode iD, a speech-driven system which identifies UK customers automatically.
Postcode iD provides an intelligent front end to fulfilment and other back office processes. Callers simply speak their postcode and name, and the system matches their details against 48 million UK names and addresses. It automatically profiles and scores potential customers, then activates the most appropriate sales or marketing campaigns.
Calls can be handled and processed without human intervention, or routed through a call centre. Postcode iD can provide telephone numbers, and if, for example, a car brochure is requested, a profile of the customer may be faxed or emailed to the dealer. It is particularly useful in the gas, electricity and water industries, giving automated meter readings and registering house moves.
The service is available as a complete end-end solution for many applications, with the potential to build a complete solution in hours, not days or weeks.
