Quadstone and Point Information Systems have announced a strategic alliance and new integrated solution which could well signpost the way ahead for CRM.

Aimed initially at the financial services sector, the combined offering is a recognition of the fact that financial services companies must develop high-yielding customer strategies that can be modified quickly to meet changes in behaviour and lifestyle patterns.

The new partnership brings analytical CRM and operational CRM together. Quadstone's capabilities are now available through e-Point's CRM management dashboard, allowing financial services companies to streamline the process.

The ability to overlay detailed understanding of what customers are doing with indications of what they will do is an important new tool for customer-facing businesses, says Sarah Haskell, Point VP for marketing and alliances. "The FS industry needs a holistic applied CRM solution. With the combination of e-Point's 'out-of-the-box' capabilities for strategy execution and media and Quadstone's analytical capability, together we have now delivered that solution."

The new partnership between Quadstone and Point highlights a distinct demand in the market for specialist vertical solutions. Dr Wolfgang Martin, a leading independent CRM analyst, said: "As the CRM market settles down user organisations are looking for vendors that are not only familiar with their specific business drivers but also have demonstrated understanding of the types of data that they hold and how to use that to positively influence the behaviour of their customers. Both Quadstone and Point have proven expertise in the financial services arena providing a strong foundation for this partnership and market offering."

Quadstone and Point between them won four categories in the first ever Customer Technology Association Awards earlier this year - Quadstone with Best CRM Solution of the Year and Best CRM Application (Large Scale) and Point with Best CRM Implementation and Most Innovative Product.
