Rich text/HTML emails

I could do with some advice on the best way to encode an email in order to get the best experience whether viewed through a mail or web browser client (MS Outlook 97 onwards including Express and Web Access, Netscape 4 onwards, yahoo, msn, hotmail etc etc on mac and pc). This extands to mail sent to corporate mail clients that are "mineswept" on the way in, on clinets that may not be able to display html (such a lotus notes 4.6 and below).

I need to be able to send English as well as European language messages (Greek, Spanish etc).

I believe that plain text messages will always work, but am under pressure to be able to show rich html with 100 percent guaranteed display success - somthing I don't know whether is possible or not.

Please can anybody offer me some advice?

Cheers

Rob

Rob - here's a link that might help:

It's not straightforward I'm afraid, and probably won't be for a while.
