KeySpan, the largest distributor of natural gas in north-eastern US, is to standardize on Siebel eBusiness applications – the largest implementation among North American utilities to date.
KeySpan offers customers electronic bill payment and options to contact the utility by phone, email, web site or in person.
For customers changing from fuel oil to natural gas, KeySpan is using eAuction to forecast demand more accurately, improving its negotiating position with suppliers.
Sales and professional services software will be used to structure complex energy service deals for commercial projects ranging from highrise lighting systems to power plant construction.
