With just days to go until the Software Satisfaction Awards 2009 ceremony, who is going to be crowned the winner in the CRM categories?

The votes have been counted; the shortlist revealed, so who did you nominate to scoop the top prize at the prestigious Software Satisfaction Awards 2009? The winners will finally be revealed in just a few days' time.

The SSAs are based on the results of an online survey of more than 8,000 members of MyCustomer.com and its sister online communities, owned by parent company Sift Media, including HRZone.co.uk and AccountingWEB.co.uk.

Now in its fourth year, the awards will feature a new CRM category, web-hosted software, which reflects the growing interesting in The Cloud and software as a service. And it could prove to be a contentious one, garnering the majority of the 900 votes cast for the top CRM vendors.

The three main contenders for the awards are Salesforce.com, last year's winner Really Simple Systems, and Right Now Technologies. But judging by previous events, it’s never wise to underestimate the competition, which includes newcomers to the SSAs Zestia Ltc.

The winners will be announced at an awards dinner taking place at the Royal Courts of Justice in London on October 8th, which will also feature special speaker Robert Llewellyn – better known as Kryten from cult TV series Red Dwarf.

You can follow the action live via Twitter on @SiftMedia and @SiftMediaTech, and by using the #SSA09 hash tag. A live streamed blog will also appear on the MyCustomer.com homepage at 6:00pm on Thursday to keep you updated on the evening's festivities.
