A licence-free background music service claiming to be the first PRS free and PPL free digital music service in the UK is promising to save retailers millions of pounds.
Developed by music industry professionals, MusicStream is the world’s first exclusively rights-free
digital background music service. The music and management control features have been designed specifically for retail, leisure & hospitality business.
UK retailers and shopping centres spend an estimated £50m GBP per annum on PRS and PPL music licences, for the right to play licensed music on premises. The product gives retailers a credible PRS free and PPL free alternative for the first time and its creators believe it could save UK retailers £3m GBP in 2012 and £25m GBP over the next 5 years.
