Permira to buy Alcatel-Lucent's Genesys call centre unit for $1.5 billion
Telecommunications giant Alcatel-Lucent is to sell its Genesys call centre business to private equity group Permira for $1.5 billion but will keep its enterprise unit, whose sale it had also been considering, within the company, it said on Wednesday.

Under the terms of the deal, Permira, based in London, will take over Genesys’s global telecommunications business, which is expanding into new areas like cloud computing, the processing, managing and storing of data on remote network servers.
