Affiliate marketing prospering during downturn
The continuing difficult economic climate will lead to savvy affiliate marketing networks accounting for 8% of total UK online retail sales this year, generating £4.62 billion worth of revenues compared with £4.13 billion last year.
As a result, the value of commission and fees earned by such third party websites from generating leads and sales for their customers will increase to £275 million in 2010, up from £245 million in 2009.
