Ryanair introduces boarding card advertising

Ryanair further enhanced its reputation for creativity in generating money from standard services this week by unveiling plans to introduce third party advertising onto the boarding cards of its 73 million annual customers.

The move follows the budget airline’s launch of its 100% online check-in mechanism last year, which means that passengers have to print out their own boarding cards.

He added that the move provided a "unique opportunity" for advertisers throughout Europe to target specific Ryanair customers.
