At this week's Business Cloud Summit, one of the panel members was Scott Yancey, CTO of Cloudwords, a San Francisco start-up which focuses on the translation services market. Yancey participated in a session entitled 'Cloud - the next generation'  which looked at new development in the Cloud and how new breeds of  developers and companies are emerging on the back of the Cloud.

To illustrate the market opportunity that Cloudwords Cloud-based app is addressing, take a look at the following video. It features Shazam, the largest music and television discovery app in the world with 150 million users in 200 countries. Those users engage with the service in 30 languages on seven major mobile platforms. When they need to communicate any update, they require the agility and speed to support their business.

Shazam recentlyintroduced 14 new email campaigns in several countries for which they have used Cloudwords to provide the platform for delivery. The translation memory from Cloudwords provides in-context translation adjustments required for a global roll-out.
