Content management and customer engagement software company Sitecore has taken what it describes as a “large minority investment” in social media marketing platform provider Komfo.
Komfo's platform helps organisations optimise ROI on Facebook activities, providing marketers with a more efficient way to create and manage meaningful conversations across Facebook fan pages, without additional team resources.
Sitecore plans to integrate Komfo's social media marketing platform into its Customer Engagement Platform to give marketers insight and control of the customer experience within Facebook and other social networks similar to what they currently have with Sitecore-managed properties and interaction channels.
"We've partnered and invested with Komfo to bring the same level of management and control to Facebook and community engagement as we currently deliver for the Web, mobile and offline channels managed within our Customer Engagement Platform," commented Sitecore founder and CEO Michael Seifert. "Social engagement is a critical element in orchestrating a successful multichannel marketing strategy. Komfo's applications and community tools make it easy to scale social initiatives while minimising the time spent trying to manage and maintain conversations within social channels."
As part of the investment agreement, Seifert will join Komfo's board of directors.
