Microsoft delays Dynamics CRM support for iPad and Android

Microsoft has pushed back its launch for Miscrosoft Dynamics mobile support launch from Q2 to Q4 2012, announcing the news in an unassuming blog post.

Originally scheduled to be delivered on mobile applications – iPad, iPhone, Android, Blackberry and Windows Phone 7 – from April 2012, Microsoft has now announced that the mobile support will launch in Q4.

The company said in its blog post: “After listening to the feedback from our customers and partners we are delaying availability of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Mobile and cross-browser support.

“These were previously scheduled to be delivered in the Q2 2012 Service Update, and we now plan to deliver them in the service update scheduled for Q4 2012.”

Alongside its delayed mobile updates, Microsoft also intends to increase its cross-browser support for Dynamic CRM customers in Q4.

Dynamics mobile support is CWR Mobility with a different badge so, although Microsoft is not supporting it, the same solution is already available, and has been a successfully working and secure product for quite some time.

Cross-browser support is something that we were all looking forward to, but if it's not quite there I think we'd all support a delay to ensure it's done correctly and with as few bugs or restrictions as possible.
