Online collaboration tool Projectplace has relaunched with a new redesign, planning tools and mobile applications to support organisations in transforming social business.
The tool allows users to collaborate on multiple projects via a single platform in order to make project collaboration more social and engaging. According to the
Stockholm-based start-up, the tool has helped over 770,000 users improve project collaboration and communicate.
The new social features include an actions board, a visual and social planning tool, to provide an overview of a project’s progress as well as a timeline displaying project steps for all members to track the project.
The introduction of widgets provides a visual update of the project’s progress, days remaining until current project step completion and the team’s overall satisfaction level to the project manager and stakeholders.
The tool has also undergone a redesign to create an “easier, cleaner and more intuitive” interface, said the firm.
The re-launch also introduces new and updated apps. The new iPad app, soon to be released in the App Store, provides access to projects and many of the tool’s features, whilst an updated Android app will also offer new features.
Johan Zetterström, CEO of Projectplace, said: “Social businesses recognise that an organisation benefits from getting everyone involved in collaborating on achieving a common goal. With the new Projectplace, we have created a tool that makes work more social and, as a result, more successful - whether just at the project level or across the entire organisation.
“The new Projectplace is designed with transparency, communication and collaboration in mind, a formula we believe will save businesses time and money, resulting in better and faster return on investment.”
The new social features are now available to Projectplace customers with the app solutions expected to follow soon.
