Social media not a "truly mass media marketing tool" - study

Public uptake of social media remains very high but brands are less likely to benefit than originally thought, new research has found.

A new poll from YouGov has revealed that 44% of social network users surveyed would not be more positive about a product their friends have followed/liked and 43% are unlikely to mention a brand on a social media platform, even if they heard something positive about it.
