How much has the HP brand been damaged by CEO departure?

Last week Oracle CEO Larry Ellison issued a blistering attack on the HP Board of Directors, accusing them of "cowardly corporate political correctness" that will cost shareholders billions. 

Ellison's anger was sparked by the departure of HP CEO Mark Hurd who resigned after a claim of sexual harassment was made by a former soft porn actress turned reality TV star turned HP contractor, Jodie Fisher. The claims were investigated by HP and found to be false, but in the process expenses claims by Hurd were called into question. 

So how will this high-profile personnel change impact HP? Will the actions of the board really cost shareholders billions? CoreBrand's James Gregory explores.
