SAS looks for integrated marketing leadership with Assetlink acquisition

Business analytics firm SAS has announced the acquisition of marketing resource management player Assetlink in a move designed to tap into the growing understanding of the benefits of integrated marketing.
Recent research by Gartner has suggested that by 2014, organisations that develop an integrated marketing strategy "will deliver a 50% higher ROMI (return on marketing investment) than those that don't."
SAS believes that the Assetline acquisition will deliver an integrated marketing management platform to make it easier for marketers to plan, create and optimise marketing programmes.
