Shuttered SAP subsidiary charged in latest Oracle twist

Just a week after Oracle’s $1.3bn (£820m) copyright infringement verdict against SAP was thrown out, the four year case has taken another turn.
The Justice Department last week criminally charged SAP subsidiary, TomorrowNow, with 12 counts related to the theft of software and documents from Oracle Corporation websites.
The criminal charges were filed Thursday. SAP agreed to a plea deal subject to court review, which is scheduled for 14 September. Until that time, details of any penalties will remain under seal until approved by the court.
