The customer is the life-blood of a business. They decide whether or not a business remains in operation or it folds up. It is their money that is used to run the business and they are, according to popular saying, “always right.”
You probably know all this already. And that’s why you’re probably reading this post: to attract more customers to your website or to increase the customer-base of your business and ultimately increase your profits. So how can you creatively go about attracting more customers to your business?
1. Keep your current customers happy
There’s almost no advert that spreads faster than word-of-mouth. It moves like wild fire and has a reach that no other kind of advertisement can beat. And this can be a two-edged sword for you as a business owner.
In other words, if you make your customers unhappy, the negative word spreads and you lose both existing and potential customers. If you keep your customers satisfied, they will spread the word about how good your business is without you even paying them a dime. And this will attract more customers, whether to your website or your store.
2. Branding and packaging
Another creative way to attract more customers is how you brand and package the product and services that you’re offering. This will say more to people (existing and potential customers) about your business than you can ever say.
There are many ways to go about this, including providing your customers custom tote bags with which they can carry their goods about, and can reuse over again.
3. Be of help
Whatever you’re trying to sell or advertise, no one will care if you’re not trying to help them. You know that saying about how no one cares how much you know until they know how much you care?
Well, these potential customers have problems that need to be solved. Show them that you can be of help and they will happily become loyal customers, telling more people about your business.
You can leverage on your happy customers by turning them into an unpaid sales force for your business. You can offer them incentives or discounts to tell their friends about your business. It’s an irresistible offer.
Whether it’s a free shopping voucher, free points, a giveaway or something else, think of ways to reward and acknowledge your most loyal customers. Everyone loves acknowledgement.
5. Social media
Optimizing your social media accounts can significantly increase your reach. Having these accounts is not enough. You need to create helpful content on them and share. Of course you need to know your ideal customer so that you can create content tailored just for them.
An optimized social media platform improves the visibility of your accounts, which gets your business found by more potential customers. You can optimize your social media accounts by adding your business name, location, contact information, business website, and maybe even a call to action to your profiles.
