With the entry process now closed, MyCustomer will announce a longlist of finalists in September, prior to the judging round to decide our 2019 winner.
MyCustomer editor and CX Leader of the Year judge, Neil Davey, was delighted with the exceptionally high standard of award submissions.
"We've had an array of entries from all around the globe, and a variety of industries.
"The process was designed to encourage entrants to tell us their CX stories about embedding best practices and culture into their business, and some of the success they have had as a result. The response has been emphatic.
"What's been clear is that customer experience leaders are passionate about their role and the impact CX is having on their business, and are keen to generate more awareness of the CX discipline through virtue of showcasing their achievements via this award."
From Myanmar to Guernsey
With applicants from a range of countries including the USA, Nigeria, Myanmar and Guernsey, the CX Leader of the Year award highlights just how widespread customer experience is becoming.
Applications highlighted the diversity of the role too, with many charged with overseeing everything from operational success measurement to training call centre staff.
“The CX profession is growing at pace," explained award judge Ian Golding, an author, trainer, consultant and leading global voice in the customer experience industry.
"Recognising the vanguards working tirelessly to change the way organisations think is vital in raising awareness of the importance of their work.”
Fellow judge, Anita Siassios, added: “CX leaders are continuously striving to create great customer experiences, embedding excellence in all aspects of the CX disciplines so they can elevate everyone across their organisations to make an impact.
“It is for this reason we must reflect and recognise these professionals through the CX Leader of the Year award, where we will acknowledge this hard work and inspire others to do the same.”
