Hertfordshire County Council rolls out £10.2 million SAP consolidation

Hertfordshire County Council is to launch upon a five-year, £10.2 million organisational change and managed services programme to consolidate its procurement, human resources management, payroll and financial management into a single SAP-based solution. The roll out is being managed and delivered by LogicaCMG.

Caroline Tapster, Chief Executive of Hertfordshire County Council, said, "We operate one of the most innovative local authorities in the country, investing in technology and management processes that have proven successful in the private sector. LogicaCMG has worked closely with our internal project team to develop a solution that, in addition to our call centre and comprehensive transactional website, will maintain our ability to exceed central government targets and serve the needs of council tax payers."

Hertfordshire County Council is ranked by the Audit Commission ‘s Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA) as the best performing of all 33 county councils in the country, currently held on the grounds of good social services, finances and e-government readiness.
