Definition of inbound marketing:

Inbound marketing focuses on customers who find you, not the other way round.

The main inbound marketing strategy is SEO. If you rank highly in a search result for a commercially valuable keyword, you attract traffic [and potential leads] to your website. They’ve found you. Any subsequent marketing is inbound marketing.

Inbound marketing is the opposite of outbound marketing. It’s a keyword that gets searched for 140 times a month in the UK.
