What is the Internet of Things?
Definition of Internet of Things [IoT]:
The Internet of Things is the concept that all physical devices can be interconnected across the internet, from phones to toasters, cars and thermostats.
In 2013 the Global Standards Initiative on Internet of Things (IoT-GSI) defined the IoT as "the infrastructure of the information society” – the idea that all devices, or “things” will talk to one another, collect data and help improve and automate our lives.
