Definition of mobile marketing:

Mobile marketing is the branch of marketing dedicated to mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets.

Increasingly, since the launch of the iPhone in 2007 and the subsequent proliferation of smartphone use around the globe, mobile has become one of the leading channel for marketing professionals.

The market has evolved to incorporate everything from SMS and MMS messaging to push notifications, mobile apps, QR codes, proximity and location-based marketing. Because of the ability to offer more personalised and location-driven campaigns straight to a consumer’s pocket, email marketing has also been transformed by the rise of mobile.
