What is a sales funnel?
Definition of a sales funnel:
The famous sales ‘funnel’ uses the concept of a funnel to illustrate the sales process.
The funnel is divided into several steps, which can vary depending on each company’s business model.
Typically, at the top of the funnel is ‘awareness’, followed by ‘interest’, ‘decision’ and ‘loyalty’.
The journey down the funnel can differ with each campaign - some will aim to drive brand awareness, thus pushing the top layer of the funnel; others will push for loyalty to a brand’s ecosystem, focusing on the bottom layer.
