Definition of service design:

A good way of understanding service design is simply by reversing the two words - it involves designing services.

The design process looks at a business’ internal infrastructure, including aspects such as its people and means of communication, in order to improve the service being delivered to customers.

Service design will vary from business to business. This will be influenced by extenuating factors relevant to each sector and the aims of each company’s internal management.
