Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS) has signed up to a partnership with systems house Capgemini in a bid to drive adoption of its applications in the UK.

Capgemini is a certified Microsoft CRM partner and is
currently working with customers in the Government and not-for-profit sector. Capgemini's Microsoft unit is 110-strong, with Microsoft Business Solutions having a specifically focused team within this unit.

"This alliance will help us to widen our applications portfolio and service the demand for Microsoft applications from our customers," said Paul Guest, Head of Applied Technologies, Technology Services, Capgemini. "We see working with Microsoft as an opportunity for our customers to purchase applications with a lower-cost entry point, faster deployment capabilities and quicker return on investment.

"The Microsoft CRM product can be up and running in 30-60 days, which is crucial for companies with decreasing IT budgets and, paradoxically, more demands being made of IT."
