NetSuite to double workforce from 150 to 300

San Mateo-based NetSuite said Thursday it will double its workforce from 150 to 300 in 2004.

Privately held NetSuite had 2003 revenues of about $20 million, according to media reports. The company said it has some 7,000 customers - mainly small and medium-size businesses. It recently announced the opening of its first European sales office in London and the gaining of a distribution deal in Australia.

In 2003, NetSuite said it grew its sales by more than 300 percent. "In 2004, the company will substantially augment its service, sales and development organizations," it said.

NetSuite makes software for customer relationship management, order fulfillment, inventory, finance and product assembly, e-commerce and Web site management, and employee productivity.
